Civic Awards for Burnham residents

A QUARTET of people who have made a major contribution to the community have had their efforts rewarded this week. Paul Taylor, Mary Miles, Doreen Atyeo and Tony Winterburn were all presented with Civic Awards at a special ceremony in Burnham on Sunday.

Paul Taylor, Mary Miles, Doreen Atyeo and Tony Winterburn were all presented with Civic Awards at a special ceremony in Burnham on Sunday.

The four Burnham and Highbridge residents were praised for their work in the towns at a service at St Andrew's Church which was followed by a party where they were greeted by the guard of honour from the Burnham and Highbridge sea cadets, army cadets and Air Training Corp units.
