Claire takes on new medical research

A FORMER Worle student is embarking on a new medical research project after achieving a first class degree.
Claire Williams, aged 22, from Weston, has secured her first job as a research technician in the diabetes and metabolism unit, at the school of clinical sciences, in the University of Bristol.
This will be at the learning and research base at Southmead Hospital.
The former Priory Community School student completed her biological science degree at the University of the West of England and the new project will see her investigate the causes and cure for type one diabetes.
Her research will also focus on the causes of type one diabetes in children.
