Man suffers 'life-changing' injuries as car and motorbike collide on A370

A man has been left with life-changing injuries after a crash between a car and a motorbike this morning (Monday).
The motorcyclist was taken to Southmead Hospital, in Bristol, after colliding with a car on the A370 near Holy Trinity Church in Cleeve at around 7am.
A South Western Ambulance Service spokesman said two rapid-response vehicles and one ambulance attended the scene.
The road was blocked for several hours, with queues tailing back to Congresbury, before finally reopening late in the morning.
It is understood the driver of the car did not sustain any injuries.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary said it was called to the incident shortly after 7am.
A spokesman added: “This was a collision between a car and a motorcycle and was near to the Lord Nelson public house and Holy Trinity Church.
“The motorcyclist was taken to Southmead Hospital with life-changing leg and back injuries.”
