AN ORPHANED goat rescued from Cheddar Gorge has found love with another parentless pal. Cliff, who was found by a tourist in the gorge in March, was taken to Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill after being found abandoned in the village. His parents were nowhere to be seen. Chloe the kid, Cliff's new bosom buddy, was found in mid-April at the bottom of cliffs near Brean. Rescuers thought she had serious head injuries and probably fell from the top of the cliff. Although Chloe now has poor eyesight as a result of her injuries, the two goats love to kid around and are said to be inseparable. Carers at the centre said Cliff, named after the area he was spotted in, had also made a canine companion in the form of Socks, a collie pup owned by charity worker Ellie West. Secret World spokesman Jamie Baker said: "Now he is bigger we take Cliff out for walks everyday but when we do Chloe cries."It is nice that he has a friend and a girlfriend to play with.""We cannot allow Cliff to breed because we can't afford to look after a whole family of goats so he has had an operation to stop this happening. Because Cliff was brought in when he was only a few days old he will never be released back into the wild because he won't be able to look after himself.
