Cliff rescue as two adults and dog get stuck

Two people and a dog have been rescued from a cliff this afternoon (Monday).

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was called to Cheddar Gorge at 4.20pm this afternoon after reports of people stuck about 20 metres up the cliff side.

Crews liaised with Cliff Rescue teams to formulate a plan to get them down.

The first adult and dog were helped down at 5.20pm.

By 5.30pm, the second casualty was being attached to rescue lines and helped down the cliff.
