n A WELL-KNOWN organisation has donated fruit trees to two allotment groups as part of a push to benefit the environment and the 
community.

Cheddar Vale Lions Club has donated trees to Shipham community allotment and Axbridge community allotment.

Axbridge received eight trees while Shipham got three.

Trees donated included quince, pear, mulberry and apricot trees.

The fruit trees were handed over to the allotments on Saturday at Cheddar Garden Centre in Draycott Road.
