YOUNGSTERS in Locking have been mastering the art of self-defence at a new club.

Locking Karate Club, founded by Gary Doughty, runs at the village hall in Grenville Avenue at 7pm each Friday.

Gary, who has more than 20 years experience in martial arts, has been teaching the club’s keen youngsters about karate, ju jitsu and spatial awareness.

The club is looking for new members, with anyone aged from five upwards welcome to come along and try their hand.
