COASTGUARD teams are currently searching for a man in the water off Weston's seafront.

Crews received a call at 7pm tonight (Tues) to reports a 23-year-old man with mental health issues was missing.

Coastguard members from Weston and Clevedon, along with Weston’s lifeboat crew, are now searching the water from Knightstone Island, past the Grand Pier and along to Uphill.

Police officers are also at the scene and it is thought up to 25 people are involved in the search.

Great Western Ambulance Service has six vehicles at the scene including incident response units and 4x4 vehicles.
