A WRINGTON man is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support to thank the charity for supporting him through a diagnosis of lung cancer.
Colin Fear, aged 75, was diagnosed with the disease two years ago and relied on Macmillan nurse Denise Leighton-Price for support during his treatment.
He said: “I cannot speak highly enough of Denise. She always has a smile on her face and makes you feel special.”
Mr Fear is a former captain of the Mendip Spring Golf Club, in Congresbury.
He will now work with the club to discuss fundraising ideas which will aid other cancer sufferers and their families.
