A WESTON College student has won an iPad and a host of other prizes for his creativity.
Jacques Lockwood’s video, promoting the Grand Pier, will now be used on the attraction’s website and its official Youtube page.
Pier owner Kerry Michael said: “I set up the competition as I wanted to see the Grand Pier through our visitors’ eyes and to find out what they like best about our new pavilion.
“We had some terrific entries but Jacques video really stood out from the rest. “The entry he submitted sells the attractions of the Grand Pier to young and old visitors alike.
“It is a very professional piece and he should be proud of what he has achieved.”
Jacques, who is 18 and studying for a BTEC National Diploma in media production, said he wanted to reflect the Grand Pier from the customers’ point of view and shot the film over several sunny days this Easter.
He said: “I wanted to show how the Grand Pier has changed, but how it is also now more popular than it ever was and appeals to people of all ages.
“It’s still the same pier, but with a lot more bells and whistles on it.”
Jacque’s entry received the most votes from online viewers.
