WESTON College students have embraced the festive spirit of giving by launching their own appeal to raise money for their chosen charity.

The 22 public service students will be raising money for Help For Heroes throughout the rest of the school year, and launched their appeal by dressing up to go fundraising around Weston on Friday (Dec 17).

The students’ public service lecturer and personal tutor Ian Asher said: “Despite the fact that there were less people around Weston and the college because of the weather, it was a very encouraging start.

“The students came up with this idea all by themselves, and they’ll be doing a lot of other events to raise money right up until June.”
