WESTON College students raised more than £1,000 for the RSPCA through a gala dinner and auction.

The event was organised by 15 event management students to support work at the charity’s Brent Knoll centre, and saw a sumptuous dinner cooked in the college’s bistro.

Hospitality and catering lecturer, Andrew Skinner, said: “The students worked extremely hard as a team, from buying the food to setting up the auction.

“It was a brilliant evening and very profitable for the RSPCA. This gives the students a hands-on experience of what goes into organising a successful event.”
