Combat Norovirus!
GOOD hygiene is the key to combating the winter vomiting disease, according to district health chiefs.
NHS North Somerset wants residents to do all they can to avoid being struck down by norovirus, and is making people aware of the symptoms and how to avoid them.
Head of infection control, Suzanna Golding-Ellis, said: “The norovirus is no respecter of age, gender or fitness level.
“It is spread quickly and easily from one person to another and can be caught from contact with an infected person by consuming contaminate food or water or contact with contaminated surfaces or objects.”
The symptoms of norovirus usually last between 12 and 60 hours.
