A PLAQUE commemorating 75 years of the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) in Weston was unveiled on Friday.
It was put on display on the wall behind the bus stops by the Grand Pier, with members of RAFA and dignitaries from the town in attendance.
The first branch meeting was held in May 1939, before the official launch of RAFA in 1943. As well as providing support to those who served in World War Two, RAFA gives assistance to personnel from conflicts in the Falklands, Korea and Afghanistan.
A gala dinner was held in the evening to celebrate the occasion.
