Last chance to comment on Wedmore development plan

PUBLISHED: 16:00 31 May 2018

Time is running out to comment on Wedmore’s draft neighbourhood development plan (NDP).

Villagers have until tomorrow (Friday) to air their views on the working draft.

This will help shape the NDP which is being created to outline a development plan for the village to the year 2032.

The draft includes a vision for Wedmore, and it has been created since a consultation period held in November 2017.

The vision document says: “Wedmore parish will retain its strong sense of a community in a historic and rural setting.

“This will be supported by a modest growth in new housing, particularly targeted at the younger, less affluent and older members of the parish.

“The excellent range of shops, services, facilities and jobs will be retained and enhanced.”
