A choir dazzled a Weston-super-Mare crowd during a fundraising concert.

Caprione Community Choir were joined by pianist Richard Lennox at a concert at Clarence Park Baptist Church, in Walliscote Road.

The musician and singers performed music ranging from Vivaldi’s Gloria to The Beatles When I’m 64.

They also branched into a popular Disney song for the younger members of the audience.

More than 50 people filed into the pews to help raise money for the church, which will go towards its maintenance and upkeep. The event also aimed to promote the Weston choir.

Church member Jane Perrin said: “Caprione’s programme, supported by the very talented Richard Lennox at the piano, was greatly enjoyed be all those who attended.

“Many of the guests told us they particularly enjoyed the diverse range of the programme, offering something for everyone and a chance to hear types of music they may not usually encounter.”
