RESIDENTS living on the Potteries estate had the opportunity to get advice and guidance at a community event.

The information day, held at the community centre in Langford Road, Weston, allowed residents to meet each other as well as talk to people from groups including North Somerset Citizens Advice Bureau, Oldmixon DIY project, North Somerset Council Community Learning Service and police officers covering the area.

The event was organised by North Somerset Council's community development team and the South Ward Neighbourhood Management Team to allow residents to give their views on what they want to happen to the area in the future.

A similar event is planned for November 28 from 3.30-5pm.
