AN OSCARS-STYLE ceremony honouring businesses involved in the training of young people was hosted by Weston College.
The Excellence in Business Training Awards event was held at Doubletree by Hilton Cadbury House in Congresbury and recognised partnerships forged between the college and companies across North Somerset.
The formal dinner and awards evening showcased the apprentices and students who have distinguished themselves during their training period.
College principal, Dr Paul Phillips, said: “The ethos of entrepreneurship is at the heart of many things we do at Weston College, and so it is vital that we create solid and fruitful partnerships with local businesses keen to train the next generation of employees.
“We are the leading provider of staff training across the region and we are very proud to honour this special relationship we have with businesses large and small.”
Categories included commitment to collaborative working, commitment to staff development and apprentice of the year.
