A free concert will take place Weston to raise awareness of people living with mental health conditions or recovering from substance misuse.

The Friends of Grove Park has organised Celebration of Recovery to take place in Grove Park, at the end of High Street, as part of International Recovery Month.

The free concert will take place in the bandstand on September 30, from 2-4.30pm.

The Baytree Singers will perform under the musical direction of Bill Stagg.

The event will also feature a variety of other spoken word and musical performances which will highlight the journey people go through during recovery.

Secretary of Friends of Grove Park Anne Bunn said: “This is our way of encouraging a real sense of community and support for everyone who has experienced difficulties in their lives, and making sure everyone is equally valued and welcomed.”
