A CONGRESBURY company has proved it is blooming marvellous by bagging a top award.

Hillier Landscapes, based at Cadbury Garden and Leisure in Smallway, received the gong at the 31st BALI National Landscape Awards 2007, held in London.

The ceremony, which is run annually by the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI), pays tribute to landscapers who have demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill.

The company won the award for the best project in the domestic garden scheme category, as well as the Grand Award for the best scheme chosen from 25 categories in domestic, commercial and international schemes.

The judges commented that it is the first domestic landscaping scheme to win the Grand Award since 1997.

The gongs were presented by celebrity interior designer Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen.
