A developer’s bid to build new homes in a North Somerset village has been reduced in size.

Strongvox had applied for planning permission to build 24 homes off Brinsea Road, in Congresbury, but its application now states it only wishes to build 10 homes.

The amended application means the homes now comply with North Somerset Council’s planning rules for building next to settlement boundaries.

It would also mean Strongvox is not required to provide affordable housing or a section 106 payment for investment in Congresbury’s infrastructure.
