A village hall project needs more cash support, with a fundraising deadline fast approaching.
More than £110,000 has been raised by Congresbury New Village Hall Development Trust, which hopes to create a hub at the recreation club in Stonewell Drive as shown in the artist’s impression above.
But the trust is targeting £250,000 from villagers’ pledges, with a donation deadline of September 30.
People are able to support the project through community share or buy-a-brick schemes.
Trust spokesman Ian Sheppard said: “There are more than 2,000 other people and businesses in the village which could pledge. If just half pledged £100 it would raise a further £100,000.
“The number of pledges is just as important as the amount raised because it shows potential funders the village supports the new building.”
