Detailed plans for more homes in Congresbury will be discussed next week.

Up to 50 homes are planned for Wrington Lane.

North Somerset Council gave Bovis Homes the green light for the scheme back in 2017, but a more detailed application - featuring drainage and landscaping - also needs the authority's approval.

Congresbury Parish Council will discuss the merits of the new plan on Monday.

The housing estate will sit between Wrington Lane and Wrington Road, close to Cobthorn Way. Although it falls within a flood zone, the probability of flooding is labelled as low.

The eastern portion of the site will remain free of houses, to give views out on to the countryside.

Fifteen two, three or four-bedroom homes will be affordable, with 35 private three, four or five-bedroom houses put on the market.

The parish council will meet at the Old School Rooms at 7.30pm on Monday.
