Villagers will be able to learn more about Congresbury's past at a history weekend this weekend.

Congresbury’s Yesteryears will be held on Saturday and Sunday, taking residents back in time and educating them on the village in times gone by.

The weekend includes a number of guided walks around the village where experts will share their wisdom on how Congresbury has changed over centuries.

There will be plenty to keep children entertained too, with treasure hunt which will take families on an adventure around the village.

Residents will also have the chance to have archaeologists examine items they have found in their gardens. Items for examination need to be deposited at Congresbury Community Library, in Station Road, by tomorrow (Friday) – and results can be collected the next day.
