People across North Somerset will be asked for their views on possible closures and changes to libraries and children’s centres at a series of events next month.

North Somerset Council is undertaking a 12-week consultation as part of its community access review, which could see changes made to libraries and children’s centres in Congresbury, Yatton, Worle, Winscombe and Weston South, which includes the Bournville and Oldmixon estates.

A series of public engagement sessions will take place throughout September. The first of these will be held in Congresbury, at the Methodist church hall in High Street, at 2pm and 7pm on September 5.

A Winscombe event will take place at the Woodborough Inn, in Sandford Road, at 3pm and 7pm on September 7.

People in Worle will be able to attend events on September 13, which will take place at 2.30pm and 7pm at the community centre in Lawrence Road.

Yatton villagers can attend events at Hangstones Pavilion, in Stowey Road, at 2pm and 7pm on September 20, while Bournville and Oldmixon residents can visit the For All Healthy Living Centre, in Lonsdale Avenue, at 2pm and 7pm on September 27.
