WESTON-SUPER-MARE is bracing itself for a hot Halloween, with temperature set to soar to 20C in parts of the South West.

Although Met Office predictions say Weston will record highs of 17C, humidity levels are forecast to be 90 per cent.

It means Weston could be as hot as many parts of Southern Europe this weekend, with 17C temperatures predicted in the Spanish captial, Madrid.

The spooky weather could be the start of a record-breaking November and follow a familiar trend after October saw the south of England enjoy an Indian Summer. But the record November temperature for anywhere in the UK look unlikley to be broken (21C in North Wales, 1946).

A Met Office spokesperson said: “This weekend provides plenty of opportunities to get out and about and shake off those cobwebs.”

It appears the weather has plenty more tricks and treats in stall for the South West.
