Council appeals for business survey respondents

BUSINESSES across North Somerset are being asked to complete a survey to help identify the issues they face.
Nine thousand businesses have been contacted about the survey, which covers transport, communications, employee training, business advice and support.
Council Deputy Leader Councillor Elfan Ap Rees said the council wants to improve its understanding of local businesses’ requirements to help direct funding and resources.
He said: “It is particularly important to get the views of businesses because of the current economic climate and at a time of reduced council budgets and the closure of regional Business Link services.”
A summary of the findings will be published but no individual businesses will be identified.
Findings from the 2009 survey helped to secure the superfast broadband scheme due to be rolled out across Somerset next year.
