Online question and answer sessions will now become a permanent facility via the unitary authority's website.
The move follows a successful trial in October and the first person to step up to the challenge for the new year is chief executive Graham Turner.
Mr Turner will be online at www.n-somerset.gov.uk on Wednesday from 2-3.30pm to answer any residents' questions.
