A North Somerset parish council has objected to almost a dozen homes being built close to a junction renowned for collisions.

Freemantle Developments wants to build 21 homes near the junction of the A370 and Smallway, in Congresbury.

However, Congresbury Parish Council feels the application would lead to more accidents at the busy junction.

The council said: “The proposed development will increase the risk of accidents along the A370 and at the accident hotspot of the Smallway junction.”
