Council to settle row with bus experiment

PUBLISHED: 20:00 10 January 2012

NORTH Somerset Council has agreed to carry out a practical experiment with a bus to settle a row about cancelled services.

Buses used to run to The Veale, a part of Bleadon which is home to many elderly people who rely on the services.

But the number 83 bus recently stopped running there after it was decided it was unsafe to reverse buses in the road.

Now, North Somerset Council will meet with Bleadon Parish Councillors on January 18 with a bus to help get to the bottom of the problem and see if it can reverse at The Veale safely.
