Couple celebrate diamond anniversary

A COUPLE from Uphill will celebrate 60 years of marriage next week.

John and Sheila Rogers, of Thornbury Road, met at a youth club in the Midlands and moved to Weston in 1963. The couple have also been volunteers with the British Heart Foundation for the past 20 years.

John, aged 81, and Sheila, aged 80, will celebrate the big day on June 7 and will be attending a meal with their three sons, three grandchildren and their great-grandchild.
