A WESTON couple celebrated their wedding with a ‘beautiful’ reception at one of Weston’s most iconic venues, the Grand Pier.

David Hurne, aged 30, and Stephanie Thomas, aged 28, got married at St John’s Church in Weston on May 16 and held their reception for 120 guests on the pier.

The pair met 10 years ago through friends and have been together for the past seven years.

They were engaged for a year and a half.

Stephanie said: “It was so beautiful and the team were just so amazing, I am still gushing about it.

“It was just absolutely perfect.

“When we looked out over the beach Weston just looked so beautiful in the evening.

“It was very windy but the sun was out and it stayed dry so that’s all we could ask for really.”

The couple then jetted off to Cyprus to enjoy a 10-day honeymoon in the sun.

Stephanie said: “We went to a water park on our one-week anniversary to celebrate which was a lot of fun.”
