Man accused of murder is remanded in custody

THE man accused of the murder of James Hewlett has been remanded in custody.

Samuel Binning, aged 20, of Felsberg Way, Cheddar, appeared at Bristol Crown Court today (Friday).

He did not enter a plea and will next appear in court on April 12.

James Hewlett, aged 24, died on New Year’s Day after he suffered serious head injuries following an alleged assault in Cheddar.
