A 53-YEAR-OLD Weston man has admitted owning more than 1,300 indecent images of child abuse, including some of the highest cate-gory.
Paul Embley admitted four charges of possessing indecent images of children and 13 of making indecent images from August 17-28, 2013.
Kevin Blackmore, prosecuting, said: “In June 2011 a legitimate business website based in Gloucester was compromised by attachment from another web page with images of child abuse.
“Rather than navigate away from the page, some users clicked to view the child abuse images or even tried to add a payment to buy a DVD.
“This is how police obtained Mr Embley’s address where he was subsequently arrested and his computer was seized.
“When his computer was analysed a number of images were found.”
Officers found 1,331 images of child abuse, including nine which were of the highest grade involving children and animals.
Embley was previously given a caution for making indecent images of children in December 2003.
He has been released on unconditional bail until his sentence at Bristol Crown Court on September 2.
