A man who repeatedly spied on a Weston couple with his penis out has been found guilty by magistrates.
Valchan Tanev, of Alma Street, pleaded guilty to indecent exposure but not guilty to harassment after making several visits to a home in the town centre and peering through the blinds in the early hours of the morning.
The Bulgarian national was found guilty of both charges at North Somerset Courthouse.
The court was told the 63-year-old made more than six visits to the property from February to April, with one neighbour claiming she saw him masturbating on one occasion.
She said: "It was about 2am. I looked out of the window. He was peering through my neighbour's window on the driveway.
"He was stood behind a motorbike. He was masturbating."
Although the witness could not see Tanev's penis as the bike was 'properly positioned', she was sure he was pleasuring himself due to his 'arm movements and facial expressions'.
One of the victims told the court Tanev returned to her home despite being confronted after she spotted him outside 'putting his penis away'.
She said: "It's not nice. We're sleeping in there.
"Every time the dog growls you are expecting someone to be at the window. We didn't understand what he was doing or why he was at our house."
Kevin Withey, prosecuting, said Tanev - in a police interview on April 22 - denied he was masturbating.
Mr Withey said: "He stated he gets his penis out and urinates. He then shakes it off. He stated he knows what he is doing is wrong.
"He doesn't know why he attends the address and looks through the window."
Tanev, who was released on conditional bail, represented himself in court but offered no evidence.
Dr Peter Reed, chair of the bench, told him he is not to return to the street where he committed the crimes.
Dr Reed, addressing Tanev, said: "Although the neighbour was sure she saw you masturbating, we do not find this has been proved beyond reasonable doubt. But because you exposed your penis in a public place we find you guilty of indecent exposure.
"We also find that you're guilty of harassment without violence due to repeated visits to the complainant's property and peering through her window.
"If you were to break the condition (of not visiting the town centre street) the police could arrest you and keep you in custody."
Tanev will be sentenced on September 9.
