A youth spent New Year’s Eve behind bars after being caught allegedly handling stolen goods.

Ben Gregory, aged 20, was arrested by police following an incident outside a supermarket in Weston on Christmas Eve.

Gregory, of Brue Close, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court last Thursday.

He is set to appear for trial at North Somerset Courthouse in St Georges on February 4.
