A CRACK team is being sent to the streets of Somerset to tackle potholes.

A group of 25 specialist teams are being deployed by Somerset County Council to help solve the road problems after the end of the 'big freeze'.

The cold snap can raise the surface of the road, which can make it crack when the weather becomes warmer again.

The authority will be carrying out regular road inspections, but is asking residents to also report problematic streets.

To report a pothole log on to www.somerset.gov.uk or call 0845 345 9155.
