Cream tea for charity

PEOPLE in Blagdon got together over a cream tea to raise money for a Weston charity.
A fundraising party for Weston Hospicecare took place at the Inspection House in Station Road on Saturday afternoon.
The day raised around £500 for the Uphill charity.
Organiser Tina Smith said: “The sun came out and everyone seemed to have a really good time.
“We had a cake raffle which was very popular, and raised £100 alone.
“It was a nice village event where people got together and had a good time.
“The Inspection House is a lovely venue and we are very grateful to the owners for letting us use it.
“It has a lovely view of Blagdon Lake and it is a really wonderful place.”
