A furnace at Weston Crematorium caught fire for the second time in 18 months.Fire crews were called to the site in Ebdon Road, Worle, shortly after 10am on Friday, Oct 27, after reports of a small blaze. When crews arrived the fire was already out.A North Somerset spokesman said: "This was a minor incident. A mechanical fault caused the fire but the problem was rectified quickly."Services were not disrupted."In August last year grieving families were told they would have to wait months before cremations could take place at Weston Crematorium again because of damage to a furnace caused by a fire in June.
