Crews called to fire at pub

FIRE crews put out a fire in a pub’s chimney this afternoon (Fri).

Two fire engines from Cheddar fire station were called to The White Hart Inn in The Bays, Cheddar at 1.23pm this afternoon.

The chimney was well alight when they arrived, and crews extinguished it from the hearth and roof using specialist equipment, a triple extension ladder and a hose reel.
