Fire crews spent hours cutting the roof off a car to free a man after his car collided with a tree in Burrington.
Firefighters from Weston-super-Mare, Blagdon and Avonmouth fire stations were called to the incident in Burrington Combe just before 8am yesterday (Wednesday).
The crews from Avon Fire and Rescue Service worked for several hours to remove the roof of the car and free the man.
The man, who was in his 30s, was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police also attended the scene and the road remained closed for several hours.
