Firefighters were called to a bonfire which had become out of control and was threatening to spread to nearby trees in East Huntspill.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was called to the blaze in Withy Road at 8.44am yesterday (Wednesday).
One fire appliance from Burnham-on-Sea attended the bonfire which consisted of wood chippings and horse manure.
The blaze was threatening to spread to trees and vegetation in the area and crews used hose reel jets and drag forks to put out the fire before it spread.
Officers also gave fire safety advice to the person who lit the bonfire.
