A man has been charged with murder by Avon and Somerset Constabulary tonight (Friday).
Owen Pellow, of Berrow Road in Burnham-on-Sea, is accused of killing 36-year-old Lisa Marie Thornton yesterday morning (Thursday).
A post-mortem has revealed she suffered multiple stab wounds.
Police were called to reports of a woman with serious injuries at a property next to the Co-operative Food store, in Berrow Road, at about 7.30am yesterday.
Ms Thornton died about 45 minutes later despite efforts to save her life.
Pellow, aged 42, is due to appear at Bristol Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday).
