A UNIVERSITY student who lost his licence for drink driving has been slapped with other motoring conviction – this time for careless driving.
Lee Riley, aged 20, of All Saints Road in Weston, was banned for using a vehicle on the roads for a year after he was convicted of drink driving last October. On Monday, Riley pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving at North Somerset Courthouse.
Magistrates heard how only weeks before having his licence taken away, Riley was caught speeding and undertaking a car in Winterstoke Road on October 10.
He was disqualified from driving for two months, which will run concurrently with his year-long ban, and fined 35.
