The Clear Pub Company, which leased The Crab Apple Inn until January this year when the company was dissolved, has been taken to court by North Somerset Council's environmental health officers.
Today's case, to be held at North Somerset Magistrates Court near Weston, concerns a breach of section seven of the Health and Safety at Work Act, which concerns an employer's responsibility to another employee.
The Crab Apple Inn in Millcross is owned by Punch Taverns, which has since leased it to a new tenant.
