Crime dropped significantly in a village outside Weston over the festive period. Latest figures show there were just five crimes reported from December 14 up to Sunday in the parish of Banwell.
This compares with 15 in the same period last year, which means there has been a 66 per cent decrease this year.
The crimes were incidents of vehicle theft, fraud, burglary, production of an illegal drug and harassment.
