DRIVERS in Weston will be given advice on how to protect their cars from criminals tomorrow (Fri).

Police will be handing out crime prevention packs in Asda’s car park, Phillips Road, from 9.30am-12.30pm and Morrison’s car park, in Summer Lane, from 1.45-4pm.

Sergeant Deborah Yeates, who has organised the events, said: “We’ve had too many cases lately where people have left property like sat navs and even mobile phones and wallets in their cars, which is basically an open invite to thieves.

“We will be handing out vehicle crime prevention packs, including free tamper proof screw sets to prevent registration plate theft.”
