A VILLAGE in North Somerset has seen a rise in crime in the past month.
A total of 13 crimes took place in Winscombe and Sandford between October 26 and November 24, a rise from four last year - leading to parish councillors urging people to secure their belongings.
The parish council’s chairman Mike Williamson said: “There were four non-dewlling burglaries, three of which were left unsecure.”
There was one property burglary, three instances of theft, one case of making off without payment, one commercial burglary and one report of criminal damage.
