The following cases were completed at North Somerset Courthouse between July 29 and August 2:

* Stuart Jack (68), of High Street, Banwell. Driving without due care and attention: Fined £250 plus £350 costs and £25 victim surcharge, banned from driving for six months.

* Jonathan Lindsell (39), of Colombo Crescent, Weston. Drink-driving: 12-month community order, ordered to carry out 100 hours’ unpaid community work, ordered to pay £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 24 months.

* Bertrand Mathieu (45), of Locking Road, Weston. Assault: Sent to prison for 12 months. Criminal damage: Ordered to pay £75 compensation.

* Jason Staples (39), of Baildon Road, Weston. Attempted theft: Three-month community order with curfew, ordered to pay £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge.

* Joshua Shanahan (20), of Severn Road, Weston. Breach of ASBO: 19-day community order with curfew, ordered to pay £85 costs.

* Sylvia Banks (62), of Ochard Close, Kewstoke. Failure to control noisy dog: Fined £100 plus £400 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

* Rhys Ludlow (46), of Milton Green, Weston. Assault: 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £100 compensation plus £100 costs.

* Joshua Parker-Stokes (18), of Argyle Avenue, Weston. Two counts of theft: Five weeks in prison suspended for two years, ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid community work and pay £85 costs, £80 victim surcharge and £180.99 compensation. Threatening behaviour: Eight weeks in prison (consecutive) suspended for two years.

* Curtis Ford (20), of Baildon Road, Weston. Theft: Sent to prison for 28 days, ordered to pay £20 compensation. Threatening behaviour: Ordered to pay £21 compensation. Failure to surrender: Sent to prison for seven days (consecutive).

* Lee Neilson (39), of Tennyson Road, Weston. Produced a class B drug: 12-month community order with requirement to carry out 120 hours’ unpaid community work, ordered to pay £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge.

* Margaret Newman (64), of Mendip Road, Weston. Drink-driving: 12-month community order with requirement to carry out 120 hours’ unpaid community work, ordered to pay £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 24 months.
