The following cases were completed at North Somerset Courthouse between June 9-16:
Sam Hammond (21), of Elmhurst Road, Hutton. Racially-aggravated threatening behaviour: Fined £107 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Theft: No separate penalty.
Sam Heal (22), of Parsonage Road, Berrow. Possession of a psychoactive substance with intent to supply: Fined £184 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
Jacob Storer (18), of Blackthorn Gardens, Worle. Theft: Fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
Mark Loader (51), of Thirlmere Road, Weston. Possession of class B drug with intent to supply: 12-month community order with requirement to carry out 150 hours’ unpaid community work, ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.
Ian Smith (20), of Clifton Road, Weston. Three counts of assault: Sent to a young offender institution for 24 weeks, ordered to obey a five-year restraining order, and ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.
James Lawrence (21), of Lonsdale Avenue, Weston. Assault: 12 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months, ordered to pay £85 costs and £115 victim surcharge. Breach of criminal behaviour order: 12 weeks in prison (consecutive) suspended for 18 months.
John Wookey (22), of no fixed abode. Three counts of assault: Sent to prison for 26 weeks, five-year restraining order, ordered to pay £310 costs. Criminal damage: no separate penalty. Breach of conditional discharge: No separate penalty.
Jonathan Eastwood (28), of North End Road, Yatton. Drink-driving: Fined £150 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge, licence endorsed with 10 penalty points.
Jeremy Musgrave (29), of Pudding Pie Lane, Langford. Assault: 12-month community order, ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge. Breach of suspended sentence: No separate penalty.
Edward Trueman (29), of Station Road, Blagdon. Drink-driving: Fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 12 months.
Samuel Ford (27), of Bristol Road, Winscombe. Assault: 16 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months, ordered to carry out 250 hours’ of unpaid community work and obey a two-year restraining order, and ordered to pay £500 compensation, £620 costs and £115 victim surcharge.
Daniel Perry (24), of Upper Bristol Road, Weston. Assault: 12-month community order with a requirement to carry out 240 hours’ of unpaid community work, and ordered to pay £1,000 compensation, plus £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge. Assaulting a police officer: Ordered to pay £100 compensation.
Trevor Benjamin (46), of Clevedon Road, Weston. Burglary: Sentenced to 23 weeks in prison, and ordered to pay £1,965 compensation.
